Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement:





1. Remove camshaft position sensor connector (arrow).
2. Remove bolts (9).
3. Remove camshaft position sensor (L5/1).
4. Replace O-ring (11).
5. Install camshaft position sensor (L5/1).
6. Install bolts (9) and torque to 10 Nm (7.4 ft lb).
7. Install camshaft position sensor connector (arrow).
8. Extract and reset fuel injection control module diagnostic trouble code memory.

NOTE: Stored trouble codes may be caused by detached cables or repair work.
