Knock Sensor: Service and Repair
Knock Sensor Replacement:
1.
Remove bolts (arrows).
2.
Unplug connector at ignition control module.
3.
Unclip protective hose for cables.
NOTE: The cables of both
knock sensors (A16) are combined in the protective hose (corrugated hose). They can only be replaced as a unit.
4.
Install in reverse order, tighten
knock sensors to
20 Nm (14.8 ft lb).
