Distributor: Service and Repair

Ignition Distributor (Arrow):

1. Remove distributor cover by lifting it upwards.
2. Mark and remove the ignition wires.
3. Unscrew the retaining screws and carefully remove the distributor cap (15).

CAUTION: The distributor cap carbon contact may be damaged if impacted against the ignition rotor.

4. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the ignition rotor (13).
5. Loosen the mounting screw and remove the follower (14).
6. Remove cover (17).
7. Check condition of O-ring (17a), replace as needed.

Installing Rotor:

8. Replace in reverse manner. Pay attention to locating pin (arrow) and follower groove (14a) when installing the rotor.
