Automatic liftgate Issue
Description of fault symptom:
^ When the liftgate is in the closed state, the problem is that although the liftgate lock is unlocked, the liftgate does not open automatically.
^ After a long idle period (>6 h) or a reset of the liftgate control unit (unplug connector 3 for approx. 2 min), the function is restored.
Cause:
Software error in liftgate control unit.
Remedy:
Flash liftgate control units with repair software using Xentry Diagnostics (XD) (=>Control unit programming).
The repair software is available with add-on 2003 for XD DVD 09/11 and/or on XD DVD 11/11.
