Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation
Throttle Position (TPS) Sensor:
The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is located on the side of the the throttle body and connected directly to the throttle shaft. The
TPS senses throttle position and movement and then transmits an electrical signal to the ECA. These signals keep the ECA informed of wide open throttle, closed throttle, and normal cruise conditions.
