Removing and Installing/Replacing Expansion Tank For Hydraulic Brake Actuation

Note:

Suck the brake fluid out of the expansion tank. Use a suction bottle used exclusively for drawing off brake fluid.

Do not re-use drawn off brake fluid.





Disconnect brake fluid level switch connector (1).

Disconnect supply hose (2) of clutch hydraulic system, position pipe so fluid does not drain from hose.

Release booster vacuum hose from top of expansion tank (left hand drive only).





Remove screw (1).
Tightening torque:
- Expansion tank to master brake cylinder 3.5 Nm

Remove expansion tank vertically out of brake master cylinder (as shown).





Install Hint:
Check O-rings (1), replace if necessary.
