Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair




24 35 551 - Exchanging pulse generator (output speed)





Note:
Read out error/fault message of EMS/DME control unit. Check stored error/fault messages.
Rectify faults.
Now clear the fault memory.
Switch off ignition.
Remove battery container Removing and Installing/Replacing Battery Container.





Detach plug connector (1) of pulse generator.
Remove plug connector from holder (2).
Remove retaining screw (3) of pulse generator.
Remove pulse generator.
Lubricate seal (4) with ATF before fitting a new pulse generator.
Tightening torque 24 35 2AZ .





Note:
Read out error/fault message of EMS/DME control unit. Check stored error/fault messages.
Rectify faults.
Now clear the fault memory.
