Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

Refer to Technician Safety Information for Air Bag Arming and Disarming.

1. Disconnect hood lock release handle.
2. Remove instrument panel undercover, then steering column lower cover.
3. Remove instrument cluster hood and upper column cover.
4. Insert ignition key into cylinder and turn to ACC position.
5. Using a small Phillips screwdriver, or equivalent, push lockpin of steering lock cylinder inward, then pull steering lock cylinder outward.
6. Disconnect key reminder switch.
7. Remove ignition switch segment.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
