Brake Pad: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel/tire assembly.

2. Remove lower bolt and caliper assembly, Fig. 1. Position assembly aside using suitable wire. Do not disconnect brake hose or allow caliper to hang by hose.
3. Remove brake pads and shim.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install new brake pads and attach shim to the outer pad.
b. Tighten lower bolt to specifications.
c. Bleed brake system as outlined under Brake System Bleed.
