Air Distribution Troubleshooting

Fig. 1 Air flow & A/C operation:

1. Start and operate engine until normal operating temperature is reached.
2. Operate system in all control positions, noting the following:
a. Check that air is discharged from correct outlets as specified in the air flow and operation charts, Fig. 1.
b. Check that blower motor operates at all control speeds. If blower motor fails to operate properly, refer to the appropriate diagnostic charts.
c. Check heater operation and refer to the appropriate diagnostic charts to isolate any malfunctions.
d. Check A/C operation as outlined in ``System Performance Test.''
