EGR Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove vacuum switching valve from vehicle.
2. Connect a vacuum pump to the air cleaner port on valve, Fig. 69 and hold finger over power valve port.
3. Operate vacuum pump. Suction should be felt at power valve port.

4. Using jumper wires and battery, energize vacuum switching valve, Fig. 72 and hold finger over EGR control port Fig. 73
5. Operate vacuum pump. Suction should be felt at EGR control port.
