Primary Circuit Test

1.
Disconnect harness from IC unit and connect voltmeter as shown in
Fig. 2. 2.
Turn
ignition switch to on position. Meter should read 11.5-12.5 volts.
3.
If reading is less than 11.5 volts, and all primary wiring has continuity, test coil primary winding.
