IC Unit Ground Circuit Test
Fig. 7 Internal IC unit ground circuit test connections.:
1. Connect voltmeter in series between distributor and battery negative terminal as shown in Fig. 7.
2. Ground coil high tension lead and crank engine while observing voltmeter.
3. If meter reads 0.5 volt or less, replace IC assembly.
4. If meter reading is more than 0.5 volts, check distributor ground, body ground straps, battery cables, and connections.
