Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

Service Information

1. For fuel injector cleaning, use only Nissan Fuel Injector Cleaner Solvent, P/N 99990- 10017, mixed with clean fresh gasoline, 2. Do not perform more than two cleaning cycles on the same vehicle at one time.

3. Use clean fresh gasoline for testing.

4. One flow test cycle is sufficient. However, before restarting the engine to purge the intake manifold of raw fuel, up to three consecutive tests may be performed.

5. When high flowmeter readings are observed on all injectors, a fuel injector leakage test should be performed. One or more injectors leaking internally will result in high flowmeter readings. If the leakage test (Step 12, Fuel Injector Testing Procedure, furnished with the equipment) indicates a leak, all injectors must be removed and tested individually.

NOTE: Be sure to check for external leakage before removing the fuel injectors.
6. Fuel injectors that fail the test due to high flowmeter readings should be replaced.

7. Fuel injectors that fail the test due to low flowmeter readings should be cleaned.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE INFORMATION
1. The power supply leads are color coded and should be connected to the correct car battery poles. The electronic control box is protected against reverse polarity. However, if the fuse is blown, it can be replaced from the bottom of the control box. There is an additional in-line fuse located in the negative lead of the black battery clamp.

2. Remove the front panel cover periodically to inspect the components of the fuel injector cleaner/tester. Check fittings and hose connections for leaks. If a hose needs replacement, use Nissan EFI fuel hose. A replacement fuel filter may be purchased from Miller Special Tools or from any local auto parts supplier.

3. After replacement of any fuel handling part or component, such as a valve, hose, pump, or filter, the fuel system should be thoroughly purged of air. Perform "Initial Preparation of New Equipment", steps 2-9.

4. Always keep the fuel tank cap on tightly when the cleaner/tester is not in use.
