Important Subassembly Service Notes

The following components (listed in accompanying image) will require heating prior to installation during assembly procedures given here.

1. Race (6) and (40), gear assembly (3) and electronic speedometer gear (72). These components must be heated for approximately 7-10 minutes at
250°F.

2. Mechanical speedometer gear (71). This component must be heated for approximately 5 minutes in hot tap water.

3. Gear cluster (37). This component must be heated for a minimum of 20 minutes at 250°F.
