Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

1982-86
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air cleaner, then drain engine coolant.
3. Disconnect vacuum lines and electrical connectors, as required.
4. Remove idler pulley.
5. Remove power steering belt and power steering pump, as required.
6. Disconnect fuel lines, then the TBI linkage.
7. Remove TBI assembly, then the distributor.
8. Remove intake manifold attaching nuts and bolts, then the intake manifold.
9. Disconnect heater hose and condenser from bottom of intake manifold.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
