REPLACE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY.

SYSTEM: STEERING COLUMN JACKETS.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER CARS. DESCRIPTION OF DEFECTS: STEERING COLUMN JACKETS MAY BE 10MM SHORT IN OVERALL LENGTH CAUSING INADEQUATE RETENTION OF THE COLUMN TO THE COLUMN SUPPORT BRACKET. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECTS: IN EVENT OF A FRONT END COLLISION, IMPROPER COMPRESSION OF THE STEERING COLUMN MAY INCREASE LIKELIHOOD OF INJURY TO THE DRIVER.
