Piston Measurements and Replacement

Assemble piston to rod, with arrow on piston facing toward front of engine and numbered side toward intake manifold side of engine, Fig. 12. Upon installation, measure connecting rod side clearance using a suitable feeler gauge. Side clearance should be .0028 to .0095 inch.
