Knock Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1.
Disconnect negative battery cable.
2.
Disconnect
knock sensor harness connector from knock sensor.
3.
Remove
knock sensor from engine block.
INSTALLATION1.
Install
knock sensor into engine block. Be sure threads are clean. Tighten to 14-22 N-m (11-16 lb.ft.)
2.
Connect
knock sensor wiring harness connector to the knock sensor.
3.
Connect negative battery cable.
