Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Electronic Ignition Module Assembly (VIN A And D):




Integrated Direct Ignition Assembly (VIN 3):





REMOVAL

1. Remove electronic ignition module assembly 4 bolts and connector.
2. Remove module by pulling straight up on housing.

INSTALLATION

1. Locate module assembly over spark plugs and push straight down.
2. Apply Loctite 592 or equivalent onto the module assembly to cam housing bolts.
NOTE: Hand start the attaching bolts. Tighten bolts to 15 ft.lbs.
