Cruise Control: Testing and Inspection

If any ECM Diagnostic Trouble Codes are set, refer to Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Procedures Testing and Inspection


TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS (Perform before beginning System Diagnosis)

1. Check vacuum hoses for leaks, kinks, and/or restrictions. Also check Cruise Control Servo linkage.

2. If the System works except for the Tap-up and Tap-down functions, replace the Cruise Control Module.

3. Check the RDO IGN Fuse by operating the Radio.

^ Check vacuum hose routing, servo linkage adjustments and Cruise Control System component access.
