Data Link Connector: Description and Operation

There are two data lines that can be accessed with a scan tool through the Data Link Connector. (DLC) CKT 800 allows the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) to communicate individually with the scan tool. The Diagnostic Energy Reserve Module (DERM) communicates with the scan tool through CKT 1061. System operations can then be monitored for diagnostic purposes.
