Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Air Cleaner Assembly:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air cleaner outlet duct.
2. Battery cables and battery.
3. Relay center push in retainer.
4. Position relay center away from air cleaner assembly.
5. Push in retainer from air cleaner assembly to battery tray.
6. Air cleaner outlet duct.


INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Slide pin (part of air cleaner assembly) into bracket hole on left strut tower.
^ Ensure that the slide pin is properly located into the bracket hole.
2. Position and install air cleaner inlet over resonator neck.

NOTICE:
Verify full engagement of inlet onto resonator neck and no contact of air cleaner to strut tower.

3. Push in retainer from air cleaner to battery tray.
4. Relay center and push in retainer.
5. Battery and battery cables.
6. Air intake duct.

Tighten
Air intake duct clamps to 4 - 5 Nm (35 - 44 lb. in.).
