Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Ignition Control Module Bracket:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Be sure ignition is in "OFF" or "LOCK" position.
2. Spark plug wire harness from ignition control module.
3. Electrical connector from ignition control module.
4. Bolt/screw attaching engine lift bracket to control module.
5. Nuts attaching control module to bracket.
6. Ignition control module from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Ignition control module to vehicle.
2. Nuts attaching control module to bracket. Tighten nuts attaching module to bracket to 30 Nm (22 ft lb).
3. Bolt/screw attaching control module to engine lift bracket. Bolt/screw attaching control module to engine lift bracket to 25 Nm (18 ft lb).
4. Electrical connector to ignition control module. Tighten bolt/screw retaining electrical connector to control module to 4.5 Nm (40 in lb).
5. Spark plug wire harness to ignition control module.
