Engine Block Assemble

1. Apply sealer to the oil pressure switch threads.





2. Install the engine oil pressure switch.
Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.).





3. Install the camshaft position sensor.
4. Install the camshaft position sensor bolt.
Tighten the camshaft position sensor bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





5. Install the crankshaft position sensor into the side of the engine block.
6. Apply threadlock to the stud.
7. Install the crankshaft position sensor stud.
Tighten the crankshaft position sensor stud to 11 Nm (98 inch lbs.).





8. Apply sealer to the knock sensor.
9. Install the knock sensor.
Tighten the knock sensor to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).





10. Apply sealer to the front oil gallery plugs.
11. Install the front 1/4 in oil gallery plugs (1,2).
Tighten the 1/4 in oil gallery plugs to 19 Nm (14ft. lbs.).
12. Apply sealer to the front oil gallery plugs.
13. Install the front 1/8 inch oil gallery plugs (1,2).
Tighten the 1/8 in oil gallery plugs to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).





14. Apply sealer to the rear oil gallery plugs.
15. Install the 1/4 inch rear oil gallery plugs (1,2,3).
Tighten the 1/4 in oil gallery plugs to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
16. Apply sealer to the rear oil gallery plugs.
17. Install the rear 1/8 inch oil gallery plugs (1,2,3).
Tighten the 1/8 inch oil gallery plugs to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
18. Apply sealer to the engine block plugs.
19. Install the remaining engine block plugs.





20. Apply sealant to the coolant drain plug.
21. Install the left coolant drain plug.
Tighten the coolant drain plug to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).





22. Apply sealant to the coolant drain plug.
23. Install the right coolant drain plug.
Tighten the coolant drain plug to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
