Locking Functions

The Body Control Module (BCM) has the following Locking functions:
1. All Door Unlock - All doors are unlocked when the driver presses "UNLOCK" on either Door Lock Switch.
2. All Door Lock - All doors are locked when the driver presses "LOCK" on either Door Lock Switch.
3. Key Cylinder Lock Switch (Unlock) (UA6 only) - All doors can be unlocked from either Key Cylinder Lock Switch if rotated and held in the "UNLOCK" position for greater than 1 second.
4. Last Door Closed Locking - A convenience feature intended to allow easy locking of the doors on exit by allowing door locking to occur after all doors have been closed for a period of time.
5. Lockout Prevention - Power Door Locking is prevented while the keys are in the ignition and the driver's door is open.
6. Lockout Prevention Override - Lockout prevention can be overridden by pressing and holding the "LOCK" button down on either Door Lock Switch for greater than 3 seconds.
7. Ignition Off Unlock - All doors are unlocked when the driver turns the ignition "LOCK" only if the vehicle is in the PARK position.
8. Shift into Park Unlock - All doors are unlocked when the driver shifts the transmission into "PARK."
9. Shift out of Park Lock - All doors are locked when the driver shifts the transmission out of "PARK" only if the driver's door is closed.
