Heater Core: Service and Repair

Installation Of Heater Core Seals (Upper Seals):

Installation Of Heater Core Seals (Lower Seals):

Installation Of Heater Core Seals (Side Seals):

Remove or Disconnect

1. Air cleaner and duct assembly on (3100 only).
2. Engine acoustic cover (3800 only).
3. Drain cooling system.
4. Both heater hoses at heater core.
5. Both instrument panel insulators.
6. Front floor console (if equipped).
7. Heater outlet case screws.
8. Heater cover.
9. Heater core mounting clip screw.
10. Heater core line clamp screw.
11. Heater core.
12. All foam seals to heater core case.
13. Heater core line clamp.

Install or Connect

1. Heater core line clamp.
2. All foam seals to heater core case.
3. Heater core.
4. Heater core line clamp screw.

Tighten
- Screws to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

5. Heater core mounting clip with screw.

Tighten
- Screws to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

6. Heater cover with screws.

Tighten
- Screws to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

7. Heater outlet case screws.

Tighten
- Screws to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

8. Front floor console (if equipped).
9. Both instrument panel insulators.
10. Both heater hoses and clamps to heater core.
11. Refill coolant.
12. Engine acoustic cover (3800 only).
13. Air cleaner and duct assembly on (3100 only).
