Scan Tool Data List

The TECH 2 can also list an IPC data list called the "DATA LIST". This list shows the status of the hardwired connections made to the IPC and can be very useful in diagnosing the PASSLOCK system. This table is broken into display pairs as the TECH 2 Scan Tool lists two function descriptions per screen.

VTD Function Description Explanations

CRANKLOW
The Cranklow Function reads as "ACTIVE" when the Ignition Switch is in the "START" position. Otherwise, this function will read as "INACTIVE.

VTD OPTION
The VTD Option Function tells if the IPC has ever detected the presence of a PASSLOCK Lock Cylinder. Once this has occurred, the IPC will set this function to "YES."

VTD DATA
The VTD Data function is an interpreted representation of the VTD Password. This data function may change + or - 7-10 counts, depending on operating conditions.
