A Caution About Trouble Code Numbering

NOTE: Even though this vehicle does not have a Body Control Module, it still utilizes the B prefix with certain codes. On this vehicle, B codes are shared and can mean very different things depending upon which group of codes you are calling up. For example:

B1021 (IPC) is a Serial Data Code
B1021 (SRS) is an Air Bag Loop Deployment Code

One is an instrument panel code, the other an air bag code.

Be sure and know which group of codes you have called up before you go looking for the DTC.
