Engine Flywheel Installation

1. Install the flex plate.
2. Install the flex plate spacer if a flex plate spacer is used.

NOTE: You must thoroughly remove the old thread adhesive from the flex plate bolts and bolt holes. Use a round nylon bristle brush in order to remove the old adhesive.

3. Apply Loctite 271 GM P/N 1052624 or equivalent to all flex plate bolts. Carefully follow the instructions that are included with the thread locking compound in order to ensure that the bolts are retained properly.
4. Install the flex plate bolts. Tighten the flex plate bolts to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
