Engine Front Cover Removal

1. Remove the engine front cover bolts.





2. Remove the engine front cover.
3. Remove the crankshaft front oil seal.





4. Clean the sealing surfaces on the engine block.





5. Clean the sealing surfaces on the engine front cover.





6. Clean the sealing surfaces on the front of the oil pan.
7. Remove any loose RTV.
8. Remove any pieces of the old RTV that interfere with installation.
9. Use a suitable solvent to clean oil from the following sealing surfaces:
^ The engine block sealing surface
^ The oil pan sealing surface
^ The engine front cover sealing surface
