Flex Plate: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Transaxle converter cover bolts and cover, refer to the image.
3. Mark relationship of converter to flywheel.





4. Three bolts attaching converter to flywheel.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Bolts attaching converter to flywheel.

Tighten
- All bolts to 62 N.m (46 lb. ft.). Re-torque the first bolt after all three have been tightened.

2. Converter cover and attaching bolts.

Tighten
- Bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb. in.).

3. Lower vehicle.
