Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

TP Sensor Screws:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: The TP sensor is an electrical component. Do not soak the TP sensor in any liquid cleaner or solvent as damage may result.

1. Disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove the two TP sensor attaching screws.
3. Remove the TP sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the TP sensor to the throttle body assembly.
2. Install the two TP sensor aflaching screws, using a thread.locking compound on the screws. Loctite 262�, GM Part No. 1052624, or equivalent should be used.

Tighten
Screws to 2.0 Nm (18 in lb).

3. Install the TP sensor electrical connector.
