Alarm Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring 3 you must disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

1. Remove the left side instrument panel insulator.
2. Disengage the retaining tab. Slide the relay off of the bracket (2, 7). Remove the theft deterrent relay from the BCM mounting bracket.
3. Disconnect the theft deterrent relay electrical connector from the theft deterrent relay.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the theft deterrent relay electrical connector to the theft deterrent relay.
2. Slide the theft deterrent relay onto the BCM mounting bracket. Engage the retaining tab (2, 7).
3. Install the left side instrument panel insulator.
