Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air intake tube.
2. TP sensor electrical connector.
3. Two TP sensor attaching screws.
4. TP sensor.
5. TP sensor O-ring.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. TP sensor O-ring.
2. With the throttle valve in the normal closed idle position, install the TP sensor on the throttle body assembly.
3. Two TP sensor attaching screws, using a thread-locking compound on the screws. Loctite(R) 262, GM Part No. 1052624, or equivalent.
4. Tighten the 2 TP sensor attaching screws to 2.0 N.m (18 lb in).
5. TP sensor electrical connector.
6. Air inlet tube.
