Cycles of Misfire Data
Scan Tool Displays 0-100. The Cycles of Misfire Data counts from 0 to 100 and is repeated continuously while the Misfire diagnostic is running. In 100 Cycles of Misfire Data the crankshaft has rotated 200 time. If the Total Misfire Failures exceeds a calibrated value during each 100 Cycles of Misfire Data, the
PCM determines that the engine is misfiring. The PCM stores this information in a History Misfire Counter for the specific cylinder that is misfiring.
