Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.
3. Remove the inner energy absorber pad.
4. Remove the front door inner belt sealing strip.
5. Remove the window to regulator bolts (2).




6. Remove the window from the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the window between the inner and the outer panels.
2. Point the lower front corner of the window down.
3. Pass the window through the belt opening. Align the edges with the door window weatherstrip.
4. Turn the window to the horizontal position. Align the holes in the window with the holes in the regulator.
5. Ensure that both sealing lips on the front door outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downwards.
If this condition is present, the window will not raise properly.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




6. Install the window to regulator bolt. Install the forward bolt first.

Tighten
Tighten the window to regulator bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

7. Install the window to regulator bolt. Install the rearward bolt second.

Tighten
Tighten the window to regulator bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

8. Install the front door inner belt sealing strip.
9. Install the inner energy absorber pad.
10. Install the water deflector.
11. Install the trim panel.
