EGR Boost Control Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disconnect the boost source and the signal hoses from the boost control solenoid (2).
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the boost control solenoid.
4. Remove the retaining nut for the boost control solenoid.




5. Remove the boost control solenoid (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the boost control solenoid (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




2. Install the retaining nut to the boost control solenoid.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (72 in lb).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the boost control solenoid.
4. Connect the boost source and the signal hoses to the boost control solenoid.
