Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the Engine Oil Level Switch.
4. Remove the Engine Oil Level Switch from the oil pan.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the engine oil level switch (1).

Tighten
Tighten the switch to 17-27 N.m (13-20 lb ft).

2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Add engine oil to the correct level.
