Horn: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open and support the hood.
2. Remove the RH headlamp.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn.




4. Remove the bolt from the horn.
5. Remove the horn from the front frame rail extension.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the horn to the frame rail extension; insert the horn anti-rotation tab into the slot on the frame rail.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolt to the horn.

Tighten
Tighten the horn bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).




3. Connect the electrical connector to the horn.
4. Install the RH headlamp.
5. Close the hood.
