License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the screws retaining the license lamp to the rear bumper fascia.
2. Lower the license lamp down from the rear bumper fascia.
3. Rotate the license lamp socket counterclockwise to release from the license lamp housing.
4. Remove the bulb from the socket, if replacing the bulb.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bulb to the license lamp socket, if removed.
2. Install the license lamp socket to the license lamp housing, then rotate clockwise to secure.
3. Position the license lamp to the rear bumper fascia and hold in place.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the license lamp retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the license lamp retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
