Solar Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Insert a small, flat-bladed tool into the slot on the upper trim pad sensor bezel on the IP upper trim pad. Release the bezel with a twisting motion.
3. Remove the sunload sensor from the instrument panel trim pad sensor bezel by twisting the socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sun load temperature sensor.
5. Remove the sunload sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the electrical connector to the sun load temperature sensor.
2. Install the sunload sensor to the Instrument Panel (IP) trim pad sensor bezel by twisting the socket 1/4 turn clockwise.
3. Align the IP trim pad sensor bezel to the slot on the IP upper trim pad. Press the bezel into place.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
