Cylinder Block Replacement Specification


CYLINDER BLOCK REPLACEMENT SPECIFICATION
Block surface may be reconditioned by parallel grinding.
Use a straight edge and feeler gauge to check the deck surface for flatness.
1. Replace block if more than 0.254 mm (0.010 in) must be removed.
2. If the warpage is less than 0.076mm (0.003 in), reuse the cylinder head but do not resurface.
3. If the warpage is between 0.076mm (0.003 in) and 0.25mm (0.010 in), resurface the cylinder head before reusing.
