Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Manifold/Pipe Replacement Bank 1

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) shut-off valve.
2. Remove the AIR manifold pipe from the exhaust manifold.




3. Remove the AIR shut-off valve pipe adapters from the exhaust manifold.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install AIR shut-off valve pipe adapters to the exhaust manifold.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).




2. Install the manifold pipe to adapters.
3. Install the AIR shut-off valve.
