Coolant Pipe Replacement - Intake

Removal Procedure

1. Drain cooling system.





2. Remove upper radiator hose and heater hose from radiator inlet pipe.
3. Remove surge tank by-pass hose from radiator inlet pipe.
4. Remove generator.
5. Disconnect electrical from coolant sensor.





6. Remove wiring harness from retainer on radiator inlet pipe.
7. Remove nut and bolt retaining radiator inlet pipe.
8. Remove inlet pipe stud from cylinder head.
9. Remove radiator inlet pipe.

Installation Procedure





1. Install radiator inlet pipe.
2. Install radiator inlet pipe stud to cylinder head.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install nut and bolt to retain radiator inlet pipe.
Tighten bolt/nut to 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.).
4. Install wiring harness to retainer on radiator inlet pipe.
5. Connect electrical to coolant sensor.
6. Install generator.
7. Remove surge tank by-pass hose from radiator inlet pipe.
8. Remove upper radiator hose and heater hose from inlet pipe.
9. Fill cooling system.
