Traction Control Switch: Service and Repair

TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the Instrument panel (IP) accessory trim plate.
2. Remove the IP accessory switch mounting plate bracket screws.




3. Remove the bracket.




4. Depress and release the electronic traction control switch (ETS) retainers. Press the switch out with your thumb. Remove the ETS.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the ETS to the bracket.




2. Install the switch to the bracket by pressing into place until fully seated.




3. Position the bracket to the accessory trim plate.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




4. Install the IP accessory switch mounting plate bracket screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

5. Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
