Security Lamp/Indicator: Service and Repair
LED INDICATOR REPLACEMENT - VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEMREMOVAL PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Remove the instrument panel (IP) upper trim slowly to prevent the retainer clips from falling into the IP.
1. Lift up the IP upper trim panel approximately 51 cm (2 in). Pull rearward to release the retainers.
2. Remove the security indicator lamp (2) from the IP upper trim panel (1):
2.1. Rotate the lamp counterclockwise approximately 1/4 turn.
2.2. Pull the lamp out.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the security indicator lamp.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the security indicator lamp electrical connector to the security indicator lamp.
2. Install the security indicator lamp (2) to the IP upper trim panel (1):
2.1. Insert the lamp.
2.2. Rotate the lamp clockwise approximately 1/4 turn.
IMPORTANT: On vehicles equipped with head up display (HUD), install the 3 HUD retainers last. Push down from left to right.
3. Align the locating pins and retainers with the slots in the IP. Push down and forward on the IP upper trim panel, locking the trim panel into place.
