Ignition Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

Tools Required
^ J41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove the tilt lever.
4. Remove the trim covers.
5. If necessary, remove the multifunction switch.
6. Remove the steering column.
7. Inspect the steering column for accident damage.





8. Install the steering column and J41352 into a vise.





9. Remove the 2 tapping screws.
10. Remove the ignition switch assembly.
