Knee Bolster Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the IP insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right) and Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the bolts from the bottom of the knee bolster.
3. Pull on the knee bolster in order to release the upper clips.



Installation Procedure





1. Perform the following steps in order to install the knee bolster to the instrument panel:

1. Align the clips with the slots in the instrument panel.
2. Push in, in order to secure the knee bolster.


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts to the bottom of the knee bolster.

Tighten the bolts/screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

3. Install the IP insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right) and Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Service and Repair) .
