Engine Flywheel ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Remove the transmission.
2. Remove the flywheel attaching bolts. Use a suitable tool in order to prevent crankshaft rotation.
3. Remove the flywheel spacer.
4. Remove the flywheel.
5. Clean the flywheel bolt threads and the bolt holes.
Installation Procedure
1. Apply thread locker to all of the flywheel bolts. Use GM P/N United States 12345382, GM P/N Canada 10953489 or an equivalent.
2. Install the flywheel.
3. Install the flywheel spacer.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the flywheel bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 71 Nm (52 lb ft).
5. Install the transmission.
